Exciting and long shifts

Ahh the start of a new week. Very boring if I’m honest. But I have a few things I want to talk about from today. Okay, number 1, me and Kai are super excited for our piercing on Friday. We’ll end up on the same bus back home so we can get off just before the tattoo place and get pierced. I’m super excited but so nervous about work. I should be able to cover it for the first couple months. That’s all I’m worried about. Infections and healing I can deal with – sea salt baths and clean everything! – but I’m worried somebody will knock it at work. Especially since Saturday I’m working an 11 hour shift but I won’t put a plaster on for the training half of the day, just he working half. Then I’m working Sunday and it’s a 5 hour – probably more – shift so I may be screwed. After a few months, I’ll take it out for my shifts and immediately put them back in afterwards but when I’m doing longer shifts like 5-6 hours at a time, I’m gonna be tired and worried. If they do fire me, I won’t put it on my CV and I’ll reapply for Primark and explain that I had a piercing that they didn’t agree with. Eddie probably won’t care and I only work 8 hours a month so it’s not too big a deal. For Pizza Hut, I’ll have to have my hair in a low pony tail for a long time and I’m probably going to look at the handbook and put my hair in plaits on Sundays so it’s not too weird. Although, when I start taking out my piercing for work, people will see my ear and the holes and may ask but I’ll just say I’ve always had it. I will also have to have my hair in low pony tails sometimes when I’m not wearing the piercing so it doesn’t look too weird. Secondly, the Walking Dead was rough. Carl died last episode so Rick and Michonne were not in good conditions and Negan looked so upset when Rick told him, but then Negan blamed him and made Rick nearly break. So tense. Also the saviours ambushed and killed most of the trash people – can’t remember their names – and that was tense too. Finally, Nay got my get well card that I sent like a week ago but because of the snow, the post couldn’t be delivered until yesterday. Only a week late but she’s still recovering so it’s fine!
